Strikers regain form against GCAA.

Perhaps the long break and a change in formations helped because the Strikers played one of their best overall games of the season. While they lost a very close 2-1 contest, the Strikers were able to maintain their level of play throughout the game and were much more aggressive than their previous games. For this game the coaches went with a 1-3-1 formation and while they only scored one goal with Idris hitting a strong low shot off a nice pass from Jason, the team had numerous shot attempts and played strong team defense. Every player contributed today on the offensive and defensive side. While the shots didn’t go in the Strikers peppered the offensive side from all over the field just missing with multiple attempts and often the team was only a single quick pass away from several additional strong scoring chances. A great team effort and a very strong positive direction going into the next game.
