Challenge soccer requires a certain level of commitment from coaches, players, and parents. Although it is a competitive level of soccer, the focus is on the development of players’ soccer skills and, as such, they will be trained at a different level than recreation. During tryouts, your child will be evaluated by coaches on several attributes, including soccer skills, focus, attitude, and coachability. Players will be selected based on a combination of those attributes. Players not selected are encouraged to continue to play on a recreation team and try out again. You will be notified of your child’s status within 10 days of the conclusion of tryouts.
TYSC Challenge teams playing in local leagues or tournament represent the Triangle Y Soccer Club. Players and families are expected to be respectful of other players, fans, coaches, referees, and facilities. Exhibitions of unacceptable behavior may result in disciplinary actions, including the player being dismissed from the team.
